The ‘Homes for All’ Empty Homes event

On Thursday 30^th January we will be holding an Empty Homes event at our offices in Oldham.  Despite the fantastic results we have achieved so far in getting empty properties back in to use, we are always looking for more!

We are currently the highest performing organisation across the whole of Greater Manchester in terms of dealing with empty properties.

Originally we only covered the Oldham and Rochdale areas, but due to a funding injection form Manchester, we are now able to offer the grant scheme in North Manchester as well.

Grants are available for empty homes in most cases where the property has been empty longer than six months. The grant will cover fifty per cent of all work. As we are part of the New Charter Housing Trust Group all our work is done in-house to an excellent standard by our Building Company.  There are no upfront costs to the owner either as we recover everything from the rental income.

We have refurbished properties that have been empty and neglected for up to14 years.  No matter what condition the property is in, we will endeavour to get it to a lettable standard.

In return, we will lease the property from the owner for a minimum of five years and take care of all the tenancy and property management.  It is as simple as leaving us the keys so that we can deal with the property and then receiving your monthly income!

After the lease is over the owner is then free to keep their refurbished property or enquire about letting us continue to lease the property.

We have property owners from across the country so our scheme can be accessed with minimal day-to-day contact.

The event we will be running on Thursday 30^th January will be a chance for anyone interested in the scheme to come along and ask questions and seek advice about how we can help with any empty property queries.

The event will be based at our offices in Oldham which are situated at 2 Medtia Square, Phoenix Street, Oldham, OL1 1AN.  It will run from 3pm-7pm. It will be great to see you there!

Homes for All are a "social letting agency" developed by Aksa Homes based in the center of Oldham, who are part of the New Charter Housing Trust Group.
